  • Scheduling

    During our scheduling call, we’ll ask you some basic information about your facility so that we are prepared for your walkthrough. This includes the facility size, how it is currently being used, and what kind of HVAC equipment/controls are installed. With this information, we can estimate the time needed for the walkthrough and develop a custom agenda for the visit.

    Walkthrough

    We will meet you or one of your operations staff at your facility and use the agenda to guide the walkthrough process. Throughout the visit, we will ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of the facility operations and systems. We typically begin in the interior of the building to assess thermal comfort, indoor air quality (IAQ) and the equipment or devices directly in the occupied spaces. In some cases, we may look above a drop-ceiling to document equipment there. We will also take note of other systems such as lighting, access control, and fire.

    We then move on to the mechanical rooms or rooftop to view the HVAC equipment in greater detail. We will take notes and photographs to document the nameplate information and condition of various equipment. We will ask about any routine maintenance done on the equipment and if any equipment has had frequent or costly failures.

    Discuss Next Steps

    After walking your facility, we will discuss our recommendations for next steps based on the information gathered. We identify which services will create value for you the fastest and set you on a path to smarted HVAC management.
